Dr. Cynthia Nichols
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and Practice Owner
Dr. Nichols resides in Seaside with her husband, Brian and their 12 year old son, Joshua. She and her husband also care for their disable brothers in their home. Joshua enjoys art, music and building things. You will often see both Joshua and Dr. Nichols brother, David, at the clinic helping out. Dr. Nichols fosters German Shepard rescues, Finches and Geckos. Velvet, Dr. Nichols current GSD, can often be found in Yippee! welcoming in new dogs! Dr. Nichols has been practicing Veterinary medicine for 15 years.
Dr. Karen Allies
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Dr. Allies was born and raised in San Jose, CA. She attended UCSC for undergrad where she worked through school and then remained in the area for several years working as a Veterinary Assistant and a caretaker at an Alpaca ranch. She attended UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2012. She and her husband enjoy great food and wine when they are relaxing at home with their pets. They enjoy kayaking and scuba diving when we are outdoors.

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Dr. Martin grew up in the Morgan Hill area and completed her undergraduate degree at CSUMB. She then moved down to LA for veterinary medical school at Western of Health Sciences and returned to the Monterey area and joined our team. In her time off she enjoys the outdoors and loves playing table top board games with friends and family. Currently she doesn't have any pets but is looking forward to adding one soon to the family!
As a child Evalina would adopt every orphaned animal she found: birds from the orchard after harvest or by the road, stray cats and dogs, chickens and ducks from the 4H program, and a rabbit that the neighbors dog found and carried around like a briefcase. She began in the veterinary field in 2005 as a receptionist and couldn't imaging doing anything else. She loved it and quickly learned other departments within the hospital and progressed into management. Managing a general practice, an emergency clinic and a pet resort in the Central Valley, she eventually decided to move to the Monterey area for an improvement in quality of life and health.
Evalina loves to spend time with her children at the roller rink, riding bikes, going to the skate park, swimming in the pool or relaxing at the beach. They also love taking their dog Crystal on walks, watching movies and reading books.
Lisa lives in a beautiful, peaceful canyon in Greenfield, with her furry babies. She likes to spend her free time with her most important loves - her family and pets. She enjoys cooking, gardening, horseback riding, training horses, giving riding lessons, camping, swimming, kayaking, and going to the movies. She strives to live her life in peace and harmony. Her life motto - “Keep smiling and be Happy:)”

Shannon was born and raised in Turlock, California. She recently moved to Carmel valley. She loves to read and travel. She is also a huge disney fan, because it is the most magical place on earth!

Born and raised in Monterey County, Missy recently graduated from CSUMB with a BS in Molecular Biology and plans to attend veterinary school in the near future. Her hobbies include playing the piano, hiking, and watching scary movies. She also has four sisters and two brothers. Her biggest goal in life is to make the world a better place, one step at a time!
Her pets are 3 dogs and 1 bird and hopefully a kitten very soon.

Sandy's love of animals began early as her family's home was directly across the street from the city zoo in her home town of Toledo, Ohio (what smells and sounds!). Animals and people hold equal love in her heart. She moved to Monterey in 2011 and has been enjoying the Central Coast and California. She enjoys reading, being outdoors and cooking in her spare time.
Registered Veterinary Assistant
Candice is originally from the LA area, but moved to Fresno for college. She attended SJVC for the Vet Tech program and received her RVT license in 2016. She met her husband while in college and they moved to Monterey for the love of the area. She loves coffee, the beach and is an avid gamer. Her animals are her kids and she loves spending time with them. They are Toby Parker, a 10 year old chihuahua mix who loves the beach and peanut butter; Blu, a crazy yorkie/terrier mix who never stops and loves everyone; and lastly Ozzy the black cat with tuxedo marking who loves to get attention, but not from the vet!
Zach grew up in the Monterey Bay area and graduated from Carrington College’s Veterinary Assistant Program. He has veterinary emergency experience and enjoys helping with the improvement of animal's well being. Outside of work, he likes to seek adventure and cook and/or eat amazing food.

Cindy attended Central Coast College for the veterinary assistant program and is continuing her education to become a Registered Veterinary Technician.
On her spare time she enjoys spending time with her son Matthew. Watching him grow is the biggest blessing. She also enjoys reading a good book on the beach, going on a hike her dogs-Rubi, Rudee and Bigee, but also enjoys kicking back at home watching a scary movie with snacks. She has incredible friends that she enjoys hanging out with (PS, she says laughing is the best way to burn calories without going to the gym!).
Yajaira went to Central Coast College for the Vet Assistant program and worked at an emergency vet for a year. Yajaira loves to draw, color and spend time with her daughter who keeps her on her toes.She also designed her own first tattoo. She has a Valentino the German Shepherd, Aquaman the blue beta fish who loves his pineapple house and Avatar the gold fish that eats everything, including his poo. When Yajaira is not working she is at home cuddling with Valentino and eating snacks with her daughter.
Megan has been working in the veterinary field since 2006 when she started as a kennel assistant and she couldn't imagine doing anything else! She attended Purdue University where she majored in Biology. She met her husband, Tony, there and have since lived in many towns and states: Indiana; San Diego CA; Charlston, SC; Bremerton, WA; and now Monterey, CA.
They love doing anything and everything outdoors, especially with their dog Stella (aka Stelsa, TinkerStell, Tellsies). Most weekends you can find them camping, hiking, biking, kayaking, boogie boarding or just enjoying the beach together.
Megan has always loved working with animals and their owners and forming relationships across all of the beautiful states they have lived!
Originally from Riverside, CA, Lindsay moved to the Monterey area in 2008. When she's not working she is spending time with her husband Paul and daughter Olivia. She is also constantly at the Marina Equestrian Center teaching riding lessons and taking care of her two horses Lacey and Pia. She loves to sing and performs at local wine tasting rooms and other events on the Peninsula.

Clarissa has always had a passion for animals and a love for strays (she fits right in!). As a child she would always pick up strays and take them home, which sometimes got her in trouble. Not much has changed, as she still does that today! On her down time she loves to spend time with her two children. They enjoy fishing, hiking, and relaxing and watching movies. She plans on continuing with her training and education to become an RVT.
Lauren hails from South San Jose and grew up in a household full of rescued pets. At a young age she was a stable-hand for horse boarding and later volunteered at the Wildlife Center of Silicon Valley. She made the move to Monterey a few years ago and worked as a Finance Assistant for a motorcycle dealership before returning back to her passion for helping animals. Now she is attending school to become a Veterinarian, and in her free time enjoys riding her XT225 around town and scuba diving in the local waters.
Pets: Lauren currently does not have pets but would love to adopt a few chickens and a leopard appaloosa mule in the near future.
Georgia was born and raised in Monterey and has loved all kinds of animals her whole life. A student at UCSC, she is hoping to become a veterinarian. She is especially passionate about dogs, cats and reptiles. In her free time she enjoys kayaking, paddle boarding, and volunteering.

Kelly graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Marine Sciences. She comes to us with over five years of experience working in the pet care field. Kelly has worked as a pet retail associate, pet care associate, dog groomer, bather's assistant and an accredited dog trainer, a dog daycare attendant and a veterinary assistant. She is excited to be a part of the Nichols Veterinary Care team. When she is not at work she enjoys anything outdoors including hiking, biking and kayaking.
Originally from Colorado, Meghann and her husband (former Marine- Oorah!) moved to the area and are both pursuing careers in the medical field. Meghann in veterinary medicine and her husband in emergency medical services. They have two dogs, Sampson and Thor and a cat named Stormy. They love to take their dogs on walks, watch horror movies, play board games and enjoy the TV series Friends.
Maria has always been drawn to animals and in 2018 she decided to go back to school with Central Coast College to enter the veterinary field. It was the best choice she feels she made and she loves it. She enjoys developing and fine tuning her skills and learning as much as she can. In her spare time she likes to repot her plants and spend time with her son.
Cyn was born and raised in Monterey county. She is currently attending Penn Foster to obtain her RVT license and would love to work with small exotics to ultimately lead her to working with wildlife since pandas and lions are some of her favorite animals. She has a 10 year old chihuahua corgi mix named Sally and a 2 year old mini Australian shepherd mix named Kahlua. She loves learning about herbalism, painting, drawing and reading when she is not at work or studying for school.
